Valuation Analyst

Department: Compensation Valuation
Location: Baton Rouge, LA

 Job Description:

With increasing scrutiny on healthcare fraud and abuse, the demand for our services has never been higher.  As our firm is expanding, we are searching for energetic, talented individuals with the skills and desire to advance in the dynamic and rapidly evolving healthcare valuation consulting sector, primarily for our compensation valuation team. Reporting to one of the Directors or Managers of the firm, the positions will be located in our Baton Rouge, Louisiana office

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide general analytical assistance on various valuation projects
  • Develop understanding of healthcare regulatory environment, mechanics of healthcare reimbursement, types of arrangements, and overall industry trends and risks
  • Know project types and procedures, meet budget and timelines for each project, and oversee day to day flow of project
  • Communicate information accurately and timely to internal and external audiences
  • Summarize and analyze physician compensation and productivity, including market pricing, survey analyses, interpretation of compensation data, and comparative analysis to industry benchmarks
  • Recognize and analyze problems regarding agreement structure
  • Prepare detailed appraisal reports and models

 Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or graduate degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration, management, economics, law, or similar studies
  • Analytical problem solving
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding writing skills
  • Experience conducting market, economic, and industry research
  • Relevant internship(s)
  • Demonstrated history of successful teamwork
  • Client service focus
  • Proven abilities to meet deadlines, honor commitments, and multi-task
  • Ability to function independently within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
